Friday night, the official pirate party was held at the Schooner Wharf Bar - an open air, two-story affair right on the docks. The place was awash with pirates of every type.
The
Corsairs soon took the stage, and I got my
first viewing of the guys in person. I had loved their a-capella singing style
from listening to their CD’s, but now I was also treated to their synchronized
moves, dance steps, visual puns, & overall studly manliness. If you can ever
catch them at their home port of the Scarborough Ren. Faire, or their local
Dallas pub appearances, or be lucky enough that they travel to an event near
you, be sure not to miss the opportunity. In the meantime, buy their CD’s.
(David Hammond -
Abelard Roach, B.J. Hudson - James Peregrine, Robbie Cook - Boats, Scott
Goeringer - Captain Alexander Morgan, Gregg Csikos - Joshua Jenkins, & Kevin
Lassiter - Will Teach)

After the Corsairs,
other musical groups took the stage, until it was soon a group sing-along.
(lt to rt - "Patches McGee" aka Thomas Allen, Pirate Pete,
Jim Hancock, & Jeff Cahill)

The Corsairs serenade the "captive" audience at the Turtle Kraals Restaurant (the docks made for very good acoustics)

friends gather for a musical interlude
(lt to rt - front row - Stede Bonnet, unknown, Jamie McCollum,
middle row seated - Bartholomew Roberts, Mark Miller, Jim Hancock
back row standing - Capt. Barracuda, unknown, Duncan, unknown)
