We occasionally, though very sporadically, send out news of the pyrate world via the Cyber Seas. These online broadsheets are free to all who ask to join the email crew, though they are intended as a supplement to our "No Quarter Given" magazine. If you wish to join the email crew, or have news to share, just contact us. Notices are sent out irregularly, as piratical news warrants (and we have time), but they tend to come out about once or twice per month. Below are some past email notices. Be aware, some links and information on older messages could be obsolete.

Summer 2011 Pirate Update
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
PyrateDaze – Aug. 27 & 28, 2011
Order of Leviathan – 2nd Round
Golden Doubloons
Where to Find
No Quarter Given
Ahoy fellow rogues and scurvy dogs,
Remember us? We know it’s been a while. We've really hit the doldrums, and have had problems getting No Quarter Given out. First we dealt with a computer crash in late 2010, and rebuilding the various files we need for editing NQG. That slowed us in the water. Then, soon after, yours truly, Jamaica Rose, was hit hard with plumbago in the lower back region, making it hard for me to sit long at the computer helm. Sciatica and/or pinched nerves are causing extreme pain when I sit for more'n about 5 minutes making it hard to concentrate while trying to write and edit (this also makes it torture for me to sit in the car or on a plane for any length of time). While standing, walking, and moving around I feel great. The ship's surgeon has given me a regime of therapy, exercise, and laudanum. The pain has been getting easier to handle, so I can now spend more time at the computer.
All of you who are subscribers, you should see the next NQG issue soon, and you will get all 6 issues of your current subscription (just not as quickly as originally planned). The last issue (Vol. XVI No. 4) to go out was in late 2010, so if you have that one, you haven’t missed any.
Meanwhile, we wanted to send some news your way. First we want to tell you
about Pyrate Daze. We'll be there, and hope to see many of you there:

Late 2010 Pirate Update
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
End of the Year News ...
Ahoy fellow rogues and scurvy dogs,
We know you are all busy with your Holiday Plundering … er … Shopping, but we thought we’d bring you some of the latest No Quarter Given news.
We’ve just returned from our voyages to New Orleans and Florida, after many adventures and escapades. We were happy to rendezvous with many of our friends, subscribers, readers, and long-time fans, as well as making many new friends.
At the Pirates Alley Café, on Nov. 10, we met up with many of the NOLA pirates and others for a book signing. It was grand fun seeing many of our pirate friends there, as well as revisiting the French Quarter. Thanks to Mardi Claw for suggesting the venue, and to Reneé the Renegade and her crew for helping set up the event. And to the many of you who bought our “The Book of Pirates: A Guide to Plundering, Pillaging, and Other Pursuits”.
St. Augustine was our next anchorage – for the Pirate Gathering on Nov. 12-14. With a parade, a feast, pub crawl, and lots more, we had a grand time in a very historic place. It is becoming quite the pirate destination. We saw Tiger Lee’s great new Pirate Fashions N Fotos shop in the historic district. http://www.pirateportraitsntreasures.com/ On the last evening of the Pirate Gathering, at the invitation of William Mayhem, we joined several other pirates for a rollickin’ cruise on the Black Raven pirate ship http://www.blackravenadventures.com/ The Privateer Lynx is now making St. Augustine it’s winter homeport. http://www.privateerlynx.com/news/ While at the Pirate Gathering, we got a sneak peek at Pat Croce’s new St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum. We returned on Dec. 7, when the museum finally opened to the public, and got a full tour of this exciting museum. http://thepiratemuseum.com/
Look for more on our St. Augustine adventures with reviews of the various events and places in the next issue of No Quarter Given. Meanwhile, photos have been added to the No Quarter Given Facebook page.
We left the St. Augustine pirates a little more literate than we found them. We sold and autographed many of our books there. Sold so many books indeed, we had to order another case of books before our travels to Key West for the Pirates in Paradise festival. In Key West we spent 10 wonderful days meeting up with lots of our fellow rogues and scalawags. Parades, battles, trials, battle sails, lots of cannon fire, end of Hurricane Season celebration, Buxom Wench contest, Walk the Plank contest – whew! Lots going on. Sold several of our books there too. More on this too in the next NQG. http://www.piratesinparadise.com/
THE BOOK OF PIRATES
**********************
For those of you who haven’t heard yet about our book (other than our
mentioning it above), it was published in August. We've been proudly promoting
“The Book of Pirates: A Guide to Plundering, Pillaging, and Other Pursuits”,
by Jamaica Rose and Captain Michael MacLeod, at many author appearances and book
signing events. It's been doing quite well, so much that it went into a second
printing in early August. It is a factual book about pirates, but told BY
pirates, with a lot of rowdy humor to boot. There are many activities thrown in,
a Pirate Insult Kit, costume advice, explanations of the common pirate
stereotypes, special effects makeup instructions, a collection of our favorite
riddles, guidance on creating your own pirate persona, and much more.
There is still time to order a copy of our “The Book of Pirates: A Guide to Plundering, Pillaging, and Other Pursuits” for holiday gift giving. It’s a great gift for pirates (or wannabe pirates) of any age – a fun read for the whole crew (for ages 8 and up).
Of course, every book ordered from us has our names scrawled into it in blood …. well, in red ink at least. In addition to our autographs, we are also happy to personalize our book to your special shipmate. Just be sure to give us their name. Learn more about our book at: http://www.thebookofpirates.com
To order "The Book of Pirates" you can use the PayPal link on our website. http://www.noquartergiven.net/collection.htm#TheBookofPirates
Or ... Send us a check in the mail, made out to “No Quarter Given” Send to: No Quarter Given PO Box 7456 Riverside, CA 92513

We are in the home port now and can ship out orders on the day we get them, if we get them before 3 pm Pacific Time Zone. We ship via Priority Mail. Remember Priority Mail is “supposed” to take 2-3 days, depending on your location, but we have learned it can easily take longer. So don’t wait too long if you need it before Christmas. We can even mail out on Sunday Dec. 19 at our local post office.
Contact us for quantity shipping rates, or for less-expensive shipping methods.
Also, for gift-giving to your crew, consider giving subscriptions to No Quarter Given. For each gift-subscription you give, we will add an extra issue to your current subscription (a $2.50 value). PREVIEWS OF POTC 4: ON STRANGER TIDES
******************************************
You can find the new trailer for “On Stranger Tides” at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Miz0fAWC5xA
With mermaids, Blackbeard, Blackbeard’s daughter, zombies, and more, should be
lots of fun. Can’t wait for May 20, 2011.
PIRATES MAGAZINE No. 13
**************************
The latest issue of PIRATES Magazine has finally hit the docks. In its coverage
about “The DEVIL’S DOZEN Fells Point 2010” you can spot our own Captain
Michael MacLeod in several images. You can even spot me (Jamaica Rose) as I hawk
for No Quarter Given. And on pg. 67 you can spot one of our Py-Rats (Pierre Le
Grand, to be exact). On the same page, in another image, is Cap’n Slappy
proudly showing off his copy of our book “The Book of Pirates”, just after
we scrawled our names in it for him. After you finish gazing at our images, then
you can read wonderful articles from Benerson Little (“Sea Rovers Practice”
and “Buccaneer’s Realm”) and David Cordingly (“Under the Black Flag”),
along with several other great articles, including an interview with Ricky the
Hawk.
